Description: 1933 MICKEY & MINNIE MOUSE Toy Tea Set 17 pieces VINTAGE -CERAMIC Vintage Mickey Mouse tea set was made by the NIFTY TOY COMPANY and distributed by George Borgfeldt & Company. This company was the main distributor of Disney merchandise in the late 1920s to early 1930s. This beautiful tea set features 17 pieces total including a teapot and lid, creamer, sugar bowl and lid, 4 tea cups, 4 saucers, and 4 plates. The only damage to the tea set itself is a tea cup missing its handle. I do not detect any other breakage or chips to any of the other pieces. The hand-painted pieces are stamped "Made in Japan," with the teapot being stamped: "Mickey Mouse Copr by Walt E Disney, Made in Japan." Items come with the ORIGINAL BOX, which is very fragile and shows damage and loss of sides, separations, tears.However damaged, it is such a rare treat that the box actually was still holding the tea set!
