Description: This week we have a nice lot of vintage sheet music booklets up for auction.Being a record store we're no experts on sheet music. But these were too nice to pass up. Vintage 8 page 1933 French sheet music print for the Eschig-Jazz published Jazz tune Smilling. Words & music by: Aurelli & Hal Keyne (Arr. by Tom Waltham) Conditon: the booklet is in a decent condition for it 's age. aging, some back-spine wear (small open spots and a few tears), smal pencil mark and two larger blue greyon marks. info:Max Eschig (27 May 1872 – 3 September 1927) was a Czech-born French music publisher who published many of the leading French composers of the twentieth century, later also including many East European and Latin American composers. After Eschig's death, his company which traded as "Max Eschig & Cie.", was transformed into a publicly listed company and rebranded "Éditions Max Eschig" (from late 1927). His successors at the head of the company were Eugène Cools (until 1936) and Jean Marietti (until 1977). Female compoer Aurelli (real name: Mrs Anna Antonevitch-Berg) was the wife of Przemyslaw Drzewiecki (= Juan Carmona) and was also known under the name Anna Almero Songwriter Hal Keyne is in fact Przemyslaw Drzewiecki who besides Hal Keyne and Juan Carmona was also know as Jean Kenn. Tom Waltham b. May 21, 1897 (London, U.K.) - d. June 23, 1974 (Paris, France) was a British jazz pianist and conductor, known to have led the Ad Libs. He was also very famous in France.
