Description: Rare Vintage 1930’s wooden folk art “Cat Match Box Holder”, with original Green paint color, measures 10”H x 4” W x 2.5” deep. They were originally bought as a kit, and made to hold a box of matches. The cat has metal eyes and stenciled on features. Hang on the wall or set this cutie on your shelf or desk. There is a small hole at the top of the tail to hang on a nail. It is in very good vintage condition, with minor paint wear, and I believe when it was made, someone lost or broke off the leg on one side. Hard to tell because its painted, and doesn’t show any break. Belonged to my grandmother in Pennsylvania, from a non-smoking home, but might still have some coal dust from their heating system on the inside.
