Description: To make this a smooth and pleasant transaction experience for everyone, all buyers need to read and understand the Description, Terms of Sale, Payment, and Shipping, below. This 1930s Art Deco solitaire ring is by Jabel. "Founded in 1916 by J.J. Abelson, Jabel Jewelry swiftly rose to the top, luxuriating among other such notables as Henry Blank, Meyer and Gross, and Krementz {3}. Mr. Abelson established his reputation with the unique die-striking process still in use today, as well as by promoting a standard of excellence that remains a hallmark of the company's continued success." — eragem.com I believe this 14K gold ring is set with a very sparkly clear tourmaline, also known as an Achroite tourmaline. "An Achroite is a rare, colorless tourmaline, with clarity from transparent to translucent. This gemstone cuts and polishes just like any other tourmaline." -- gemsociety.org The stone looks like a diamond but tests as a tourmaline. The needle of the Presidium Gem Tester is also slightly in the "emerald" bar, but I am leaning towards tourmaline. (See photo.) Based on the measurement, the stone would be equivalent to .10 carats. The setting is yellow and white gold--yellow gold ring with a white gold mount. The style is called "illusion." The inside of the ring is stamped "14K" and "JABEL."
