Description: Vintage 1924-1927 W and R Carlton Ware Mikado Candlesticks w/ Lamp inserts. These candlestick have not been altered. These are Mikado candlesticks pattern 2881, designed by Enoch Bolton. Beautifully shaped pillar sticks with cup shaped sconces and wells. They are decorated with an Asian motif of people, pagodas and geomatic shapes. Measure approximately 9” tall and well measures approximately 6” diameter. The lamp parts simply slip into the candlestick hole, just like a candle would. Shades are 6 5/8” tall and clamp to bulb (NOT INCLUDED). One shade has a slight crumple. There is one candlestick with over painting to disguise flea bites in the finish. There is also a repair done to the rim on the well which has a small chip measuring 1/8”. Photos show the repair work. The electric candlestick measures 6 1/4” long without bulb. You may request to purchase just the candlestick only and exclude the lamp parts. The pricing for this item is only for the W and R Carlton Candlesticks for that reason.
