Description: Vintage 1923 Swans Down Cake Flour Pan Primitive . Condition is Used: some darkening of the tim. Small rust spot. A great vintage advertising collectible is this Swans Down Cake Flour Pan patented December 18, 1923. This Swans Down cake pan was a promotional item given with the purchase of a box of Swans Down Cake Flour. It's design furnished an even baking temperature to the batter. Two sliding doors on each side of the pan can be raised to insert a knife, facilitating the cakes removal. The side vents open and close and are embossed, "Swan's Down Cake Pan, Pat. Dec.18-23, E. Katzinger Co., Chicago, Licensed Mfrs." The bottom is embossed 'Swans Down Cake Flour Makes Better Cakes' The cake pan would add charm to a farmhouse, country or rustic kitchen decor, or a nice addition to a advertising collection. Size is approximately 3-3/4" high by 8-5/8" in diameter, and the center 4 3/4" tall.
