Description: Offering a modified/converted vintage microphone from the 1920's. Now, it didn't start out as a microphone, but rather as a cigarette lighter! (Read on!) Since this style microphone was most popular in that era on radio, film, and even early television, these little guys were made to mimic those mics, but on a much smaller scale, measuring about 3" tall. The cigarette lighter function no longer worked, so we've removed those parts and installed a new dynamic microphone capsule, so this mic will now function on any modern system with a microphone input. The casing is all original, brass-tone metal, with some wear and patina, and is hardwired to a 4 foot cable with a standard 1/4" male phono plug. (Check out the audio sample on the listing video.) There was a novelty company in the mid 30's that made a small toy mic like these called "Little Wonder", but those listed for sale either say "not working", or "untested", which is 99% likely not working. A cool little throwback to the "Golden Age Of Radio, these are SUPER rare as most were simply thrown away, and you won't be likely to find another one, working, like this, for sale. ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping.
