Description: Offered here is a vintage, leather-wrapped seated monkey statue with a core of either wood or paper Mache. I am unsure of exact age and place of origin, but this appears to be very similar to other pieces I have seen online that are described as mid-century, often times from India. I have been unable to find anything else online that looks like this one, however. Dimensions: About 15" tall, 8" wide, and 8" deep (front to back) Condition: Very little signs of actual wear. There are a few very small scuffs here and there, and some light rubbing/drying out of the leather above the brow on one side (pictured). No cracks. Thanks for looking!
