Also exported to North Vietnam (see reference images: not included). There is no green cotton twill covering the outside, only dark green paint, same as the inside. The paint is worn in places along the rolled edge. The leather chinstrap is stained dark brown on the upper surface only. Chinstrap fittings are aluminum; attachment brads are steel (rusted). There are three vents with grommets on both sides, rather than the usual two. Grommets and vent are aluminum (oxidized). The adjustable suspension has washers washers of gray plastic painted dark green. The green rubberized sweatband, which has curled with age, matches the crown suspension which is riveted directly into the helmet body in four places. The backing of the sweatband and crown suspension is a white cotton. A purple color tie string connects and adjusts the green sweatband.
