Vic Dana Someone New/The Girl In My Dreams 1961 Dolton No. 34 Rockaway Press VG+

Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by Vic Dana titled "Someone New b/w The Girl In My Dreams", originally released in 1961 by Dolton Records, a division of Liberty Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The archival inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead wax, between the labels and the last tracks, is etched an upper case "R" and the matrix numbers A-1/A-1, indicating that the first stampers were used to make this single at RCA Record's pressing plant, located in Rockaway, New Jersey. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, none of which can be felt with a fingertip, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright without any scuffs or smudges. I'm play grading this single as Very Good Plus because of occasional ticking, along with low level surface noise, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
