Description: A wonderful find, extremely rare, 1877 Britton and Rey, San Francisco, California, litho. The artist is Henry Clay Donnell. It was published in 1877 and has been protected behind plastic for the entire time. This original litho is in near perfect condition., I mean absolutely perfect condition. The plastic is loose over the entire piece. Only a few spots are still adhered to the piece. Very very very mild problem on small portion of litho at the bottom right. See picture. Also at the very bottom in the middle part of the TED in United States, has stuck to the plastic. When the plastic piece is put down over the list, so it fills in. This piece always commands a very high price the only other one I know of came up for auction in England. It measures 26” x 22”. Because of the recent elections this piece actually tripled in price. I have owned it for a long time. It represents the elections from George Washington all the way through to Rutherford B Hayes. One thing to note is very cool, the first presidential election for president George Washington states that he received 69 votes out of 69 votes a unanimous decision. Also, Abraham Lincoln received 180 votes with the others trailing behind him greatly. I am offering this, hopefully to someone who will respect it and someone who knows what it is and what they’re looking at. This is an amazing piece of history. I have searched auctions and rare book clubs, and several agreed that I could just ask whatever I wanted to for this, and it would sell. Of course, I will package it perfectly. I am asking $5500 I will take a best offer! The shipping price includes the insurance. Please note that my eBay fees on this piece is over $1000 so keep your offers high.
