Description: Name: Eldredgeops milleri Age: Middle Devonian Formation: Silica Formation Location: Sylvania, Ohio Size: Trilobite is 0.9 inches long! We recently acquired some nice fossils from the late Joseph Butterfield Collection (NJ). We will be auctioning these fossils here over the next few weeks. This is a fabulous example of a classic US trilobite. It is a complete Eldredgeops milleri from the famous Silica Shale Quarries of Sylvania, Ohio. This striking trilobite is outstretched and almost perfectly prone. The beautiful bug is extremely detailed and has excellent thick shell exoskeleton preserved.
