Description: This is also advertised locally in the Knoxville, TN Craigslist so this listing could end at any time. Excellent condition Powell Handmade Custom Piccolo serial number 8828. Kingwood body and head, sterling silver keys, serial number 8828 manufactured in 1994. Pads are excellent and seal. This piccolo was purchased in person from Miles Zentner (Los Angeles Philharmonic Orch) in Los Angeles, Ca., about 20 years ago. Beautiful tone. No cracks or repairs. Used by a non-smoking adult. Comes in the original leather-covered wood case. A complete COA was done by the JL Smith Company in 2018. A copy of the invoice is shown. This piccolo was not played much after the COA. As such, it must be treated like a new instrument and broken in. Play this piccolo for short periods of time at first; ten minutes a day, no more than twice a day for the first week or so, increasing to 20 minutes, then 25 minutes, etc. Kingwood is more delicate than grenadilla and must be treated accordingly. When this piccolo is sold, it will be photographed on a printout of the ebay Order Details showing the buyers' name and address. This is to establish that this piccolo is in perfect condition on the day of sale. If the buyer plays this piccolo in excess of the limited break in procedure and it cracks, no returns or recourse will be accepted. I will be driving from TN to Los Angeles, CALIF. in the near future and I will be taking this piccolo with me. If you are anywhere along the route, probably I-20 / I-10, I can show this in person.
