Description: This is a wooden chest shaped jewelry box. It measures 8" X 5" X 4" and weighs a little more than 1 lb. It has reddish veneer strips to appear it was made of planks. The edges are reinforced with brass strips tacked or riveted into the wood. The hinges, latch, and side chains are also brass. There is a tray that is lined in maroon in velvet as is the rest of the interior. There is no marking anywhere that I can find to determine the maker or origin. There are some small nicks, a piece of the veneer is missing and one of the side chains gets tangled. This is a solid attractive piece as shown in the photos. Please feel free to ask questions.
