Description: 🕊️Vintage Summit Art Glass Company -- Vaseline Stretch Glass Toothpick Holder • Features a Heron design and a ruffled edge • Makers Mark on bottom: "V" in a circle which is the logo for Summit Art Glass Company 🌟Stretch glass was made by a number of American glass factories from about 1912 to the early 1930's. It was either pressed or blown into molds. When the piece of glass was still hot from the mold, it was sprayed with metallic salts to give the surface iridescence. It was then reheated and "worked" in some way (flared out, cupped in or crimped, etc.) • 3" tall x 2.5" wide • Excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks 🌟The V in circle mark is that of Summit Art Glass Co. V is the first letter of the last name of founders Russell and Joanne Vogelsong. Summit has reissued many pieces in original, modified and new look-alike molds of old glass companies including Fostoria, Westmoreland, Cambridge and Greentown.
