Only played on Dual 1219 turntable with Shure elliptical cartridge using 0.75 gm tracking force; stopped playing when CDs were introduced and stored vertically to prevent warping. I got hooked on reggae in 1982 when I joined a friend in the Virgin Islands for a sailing vacation. One memorable night in Tortola a local friend picked us up in his jeep. We picked up two attractive local girls and bar hopped and danced until 6 AM. All the bars were open-air types with non-stop live music in the local neighborhoods. My friend (a boxer while at Notre Dame) and I were the only non-Rastas in places that tourists would never find (or go to). Our local friend was like "King of the Rastas" and everybody at all the bars knew him. It was a night to remember...great reggae!
