We source our laminated medium density urethane material from made in the USA manufacturers. Each sanding block is made by laminating 1/2" thick three-ply sheets of medium density closed cell urethane foam. Each 1/2" thick sheet has a central layer of rigid urethane foam coated with dense bonded fiberglass nonwoven cloth. We bond three sheets together to create a 9-PLY extremely durable, stiff and lightweight hand sanding block. We then coat the block with a quality Urethane finish on one side for durability and maximum adhesion of the PSA sandpaper. The opposite side has our Blended Rubber Backing Pad. The Professional Quality Closed Cell Black Blended Rubber pad is designed for use with P.S.A (pressure sensitive adhesive) sandpaper. Note, One side of the block is hard and coated with a durable urethane coating. The opposite side of the block has a professional quality medium density blended rubber pad giving a little flex when sanding surfaces that are not perfectly flat. This tool comes in various sizes and is an excellent tool for small to large projects. Use it to sand furniture, floors, walls, ceilings, etc. Use it to sand wood, painted surfaces, from projects ranging from home repair to autobody to boat repair. It is especially useful when sanding large flat areas such as sheetrock. This Kits Listed above DOES NOT INCLUDE any Pressure Sensitive PSA sandpaper, 2 3/4" wide by 16 1/2" long, longboard sandpaper. We recommend 36 grit or 40 grit coarse & 80 grit medium. Always select open coat abrasives that can be unloaded if clogged by whacking the face of the sandpaper with a thin wire rod such as a coat hanger or small wooden paint stick or rod. PSA sandpaper is also available in small rolls of abrasive, cut abrasive to length with a scissors.
