Description: Unused silver-plated (I'm assuming) cup from the Keel Laying ceremony of the U.S.S. Ohio Nuclear Submarine. Engraving reads: "Keel Laying - USS Ohio - SSBN 726 - April 10, 1976 - Groton, Connecticut." It measures 4 inches high, 2-1/2 inches at base, and 3 inches at top. Heavily patinated (I did not want to clean as there are collectors who want original silver toning). Very nice (never used) condition. The following information was taken from Navsource: "Ohio Class Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine: Laid down, 10 April 1976, at the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, Groton, CT.; Launched, 7 April 1979; Commissioned, USS Ohio (SSBN-726), 11 November 1981. Converted to guided missile submarine,(SSGN-726), December 2005. Ohio is assigned to the US Pacific Fleet and is homeported at Bangor, WA." Our 25th year on eBay
