Offered is a submarine cover postmarked first day from Freedom, ME dated April 10, 2023. Photo of submarine printed in blue on cachet #3384 by Alvin Eckert USCS #9964. This fine vessel conducted one WW II Pacific patrols and was probably sunk by enemy mine on 17 Oct 1944.
