These ILBE lids are Gen 1 lids with the Molle webbing on both sides of the lid. Gen 1 lids are identified by the black buckles and black zipper. Gen 2 lids have tan buckles and zipper. NOTE: Black Gen 1 buckles are not compatible with Tan Gen II buckles (different shape).These Gen 1 lids are in very good previously issued condition with no holes or tears and with fully functional zipper and buckles. The lid is designed to fit on top of the main pack and is secured by buckles. The lid also features a zippered pouch as well as PALS web attachment points on the top side of the lid.
