The third photo shows the back of the engraving.]Dieudonné Auguste Lancelot is a French lithographer, engraver and illustrator born in Sézanne in 1822 and died in Paris in 1894. He was a pupil of Anne-François Arnaud, de Troyes, and exhibited at the Salon episodically, from 1853 to 1876. He illustrated publications such as Le Tour du monde, Le magasin picturesque, Le Monde illustrated ... etc. The museum of Troyes keeps a watercolor of him.N.B .: This lithogravure from around 1860 was subject to special treatment on our part in order to remove the outrages of time and, in particular, the numerous rednesses that smeared it. After this treatment, we laminated it on a watermarked paper. This treatment had the effect of "rejuvenating"; however, it remains an authentic lithogravure from the second half of the 19th century.
