Description: From the neck pocket down, this is an American Fender Precision bass, all USA original, except I replaced the factory’s white pickguard with the tortoise shell you see in the pics. (Much classier, yes?)Everybody knows most P-Bass necks are wide enough to land an airplane on, and some people like that. I don’t, so I bought a Jazz neck and replaced the original with it. The tuners are also the original American, but the neck itself is Mexican. (I bought the neck when eBay was only about two years old. Consequently, I could not find the American neck I wanted, but this Mexican neck performs perfectly. I would challenge even the most USA-purist players to put on a blindfold and tell the difference.) So, the "M" serial number applies only to the truss rod and wooden parts of the neck, not to the tuners or the P-Bass body, hardware, or electronics.This bass is in excellent, like-new condition, never used outside of my non-smoking home studio. No buckle rash, no pick crazing, and if there are any dings, you’ll need to get out the magnifying glass to see them. Comes with its Fender original hardshell case.
