Description: US Cartridge Box & Sling 1902-1917? (8 3/4 x 5 7/8 x 3”) Embossed “US” Stamped “F.H.R.” US Cartridge Box with Riveted Sling in very good condition. The embossed US on the front flap is still legible. Brass finial and rivets in great shape. Leather in amazingly good condition. Stamped “F.H.R.” under flap. Interior is empty, no cartridge tins. Some verdigris present on the rivets in the interior of the box. There is a small tear where the sling is attached with a rivet and stitching to the box (see photos 10, 11 & 12) but it still seems secure and the leather of the sling, though crazed throughout, is quite supple. Sling strap measures approximately 40” in length and is 1 1/4” wide. Please examine photos carefully before purchasing. Thanks for looking!
