Upon occupation by American troops in 1952, the buildings were renamed as the Wharton Barracks (for military housing). Heilbronn is a small German town located between Stuttgart and Heidelberg. The photograph was found within the personal collection of a former Army soldier who served with the Army at Heilbronn in the mid-1960's. Measures 3.5" x 3.5"; at Kodak AG (Kodak's German counterpart) in January 1966; though the photo was taken during the Christmas holidays in December 1965. Pictured are soldiers Raymond Babcock and Ken Heartsill in front of the Wharton Barracks.
