The pages are tight and clean. There are no tears or marks. There are no bookplates or names of previous owners The beautiful cover is in very good condition. There is wear at the corners and head and foot of the spine. The book is 10” x 12 3/4” tall and 249 pages. There are 5 color plates with tissue guards, and 138 b & w photographs and illustrations. This is a fabulous book from the era of the “gentleman sportsman”. The last chapter “A Small Kennel for Sporting Dogs” describes a kennel that I am certain your dog would love. It is the size of a small ranch house. Eugene Virginius Connett III’s started The Derrydale Press in 1927. He got the name Derrydale from a bottle of whiskey and a map of Ireland.
