"Hail, Pennsylvania!" is on one side; "The Red and Blue" begins on the reverse and concludes on the front of a second page, also included. Both songs written by Penn alums who graduated in the late 1800s. Song credits at top of "The Red and Blue": "Words by Harry E. Westervelt, '98. Music by W.J. Goeckel, '96." Credits for "Hail, Pennsylvania!": "Words by Edgar M. Dilley, '97. Music by Alexis Lvoff."
