All cabinets are made of Fountainhead, an artificial stone substance which is nearly inert acoustically providing a non-resonant structure for the speakers. The front of the sound field consists of the PARM speakers, a modular subwoofer / satellite design easily moved around the room to optimize sound. Each of the two, 45lb, 14” cubical subwoofers contain two identical woofers one firing up and one firing down; operating in phase thus doubling the base output. The crossover for the woofers and satellites is balanced in that each component present in the positive signal path is also present in the negative signal path thus no time delay, allowing the speakers to be much more transparent and eliminating signal smear and overlap. The two 75lb satellites measure 8.5”x 38.5”x 3” which gets the tweeter and midrange drivers up to ear height. The rear of the sound field consists of the Unity Audio Pyramid Fountainhead Signature speakers. The Pyramid Fountainhead Signature speakers never draw any attention to themselves in any area of the musical spectrum. They are just totally neutral and balanced in sound. They can hold a pinpoint, solid image, even when placed 10 feet apart. Wall to wall, corner to corner and at least 20 feet front to back the image is held in the three-dimensional sound field. Unity’s Pyramids are dual ported in the front; one for the woofer and one for the midrange/tweeter. The 10.5” woofer fires downward, reading the floor regardless of carpeting thickness. These speakers measure 10”x10”x42” and are 80lbs; frequency response: 28-25 KHz, efficiency: 90db; nominal/minimum impedance: 7/5 ohms.
