Description: This is the pictured nativity scene from Guatemala in approximately the 1990s. I don't know the details but they seem to be a kind of pottery-type material either painted after or some kind of glaze, very likely hand done. As the pictures show, this is a folk art rendition with Guatemala style figures that include baby in manger, the angel, Mary and Joseph, the three Kings and a shepherd along with three separate animals. My pictures doesn't highlight it but all are standing in front of a little building that stands for the stable or the inn. All in all, this is a nice little nativity scene because it departs from the conventional and it's an attractive group that can be placed in many areas or settings, adjusted as one desires. One of a kind in the U.S. instead of any kind of mass-produced standard big box set. It is also particularly good for any family with children who might want to handle the pieces since, although dropping them would probably break most of the pieces, they are not fragile and can be picked up and replaced without worrying too much about damage. Pieces vary in size with main dimensions around three to five inches. Shipping will be in a sturdy box, carefully wrapped and protected to assure mint condition upon delivery. As indicated, reasonable offers will be considered.
