Other information 1. WHAT IS OCUFLASH AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR Features OCUflash is special eye drops (isotonic, buffered), a solution containing impurities of Euphrasia rostkoviana extract. The drops should be instilled into the eye or washed with it. Euphrasia roskoviana extract suppresses inflammation of the eye and has an astringent effect (astringent, astringent). Due to these properties, Euphrasia rostkoviana has long been used for the relief of eye disorders, prevention, it is used as a supportive treatment for non-infectious inflammation of the eyelids and conjunctiva. INDICATIONS OCUflash is an ideal wash solution for removing a foreign body from the eye. This solution can be used without a doctor's prescription, for example, to wash the eyes for a short time, to drop into them or to use as a compress on the eyelids. This medicine can be used when you feel discomfort in the eyes, such as burning, stinging, itching, foreign body sensation. It is ideal to use OCUflash in the following cases. - To wash the eyes after tonometry and gonioscopy. - Wash eyes, removing foreign body, dust or chlorinated water. - For removing fluorescent solution residues. - To remove mucus or pus secretions. - To wash the eyes after using contact lenses. - Ideal first aid for mild conjunctival erosion or contact with acids or alkalis. - A supportive measure in some diseases, especially non-infectious conjunctivitis and chronic infectious conjunctivitis. - Suitable material for removing cosmetic residues around the eyes (from eyelids and eyelashes). OCUflash can be used in adults, children and adolescents. The preparation is safe, so it can be used by newborns, babies, pregnant women and lactating women. 2. BEFORE YOU USE OCUFLASH Do not use OCUflash - if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to sodium chloride or any auxiliary substance of OCUflash. Use of other medicines After instillation of this solution, soft contact lenses, especially hydrophilic ones, should not be worn. If possible, hard contact lenses should be worn during treatment or lenses should be removed before instillation of the solution and reinserted at least 20 minutes after instillation of the drops. If other drops or ointments are used at the same time, they can be used 5 minutes after using OCUflash. Interactions with other preparations have not been identified so far. Pregnancy and breastfeeding This preparation can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Driving and machine control OCUflash does not affect the ability to concentrate, drive, operate machinery and work at heights or other work that requires concentration. However, in isolated cases, when the drops are instilled into the conjunctival sac, it is possible to see temporarily as if through a fog, so activities that require greater attention can be performed only after this temporary effect disappears. Important information about some OCUflash support materials The preparation may irritate the eyes. Be careful not to get it on soft contact lenses. Contact lenses must be removed before use (they can be reinserted no earlier than 20 minutes later). The solution changes the color of soft contact lenses. 3. HOW TO USE OCUFLASH DOSAGE To suppress eye irritation and for maintenance treatment of non-infectious inflammation of the conjunctiva and eyelids, 1-2 drops should be instilled into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) 1-4 times a day. When removing the foreign body, the eyes are washed until the disorder disappears. Method of use OCUflash can be used immediately after opening the bottle. You need to unscrew the protective cap, tilt your head slightly, turn the bottle over, press it and put the required amount of drops into the lower conjunctival sac. The amount of solution depends on the method of administration. The solution is dripped or the affected eye is washed (the amount of solution entering the eye depends on pressing the bottle). If there is inflammation of the eyelids, the solution can be used for compresses. Do not touch the eye, eyelid or eyelashes with the dropper. After the procedure, the cap must be tightly closed. This will protect the solution from contamination. The bottle should be kept upright. If you take too much OCUflash In case of an overdose of the solution or accidental ingestion by a child, symptomatic treatment is appropriate. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OCUflash, like all medicines, can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. OCUflash drops are very well tolerated. In rare cases, a slight burning may be felt for a short time immediately after instillation of the solution. A hypersensitivity reaction may occur. If you get any serious side effects or notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, tell your doctor or pharmacist. 5. HOW TO STORE OCUFLASH Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at a temperature not higher than 25oC. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Do not use OCUflash after the expiration date indicated on the package. After opening the bottle for the first time, the preparation should be consumed within 28 days. After instillation of the solution, the cap of the bottle should be tightly closed and the bottle should be kept upright.
