Description: This is a new ‘old stock’ hank. I bought quite a lot of it and have stored in climate controlled closet for some time. It still has its factory ties. Three (3) of the hanks have small stains - the other 3 hanks are perfect. I assumed I bought them that way & it went un-noticed in a large storage container. PLEASE SEE 3rd photo. I believe it to be Cravenella by Lucci Yarns, and surmise this based on industry history. This yarn was and is used by St. John Knits for its famous designer creations. Their original partner was Melrose Yarns and St. John bought the company to maintain production of this versatile yarn. I believe it is/was also marketed as "Woolray" and also "Rayonette." (I have used all of these manufacturers' put ups and for this reason, surmise this is the real deal.)I have dyed it successfully but it is also beautiful undyed. It’s light fingering, 2 ply. It can be knitted with two strands for DK a weight.
