Description: Ultralight Kojin Style Alcohol Puck Burner. This ultralight puck burner has fast become my favorite burner in the Firebox Nano stove. I performed boil tests in my shop using 1 oz. of fuel and .5 liters of water. Water, fuel (Heet, yellow bottle) and air all at 68* F, it was able to boil 500 ml of water in 4 min. 28 sec, with a burn time of 7 min. 18 sec. And that's just where the fun begins. That's right. FUN. Everyone talks about boil times, burn times, and how quiet they burn. Or how slow they are compared to a gas stove. But nobody talks about the sheer amount of FUN it is making, using, testing, and just plain fiddling around with these things. Whoever thought that watching water boil could be so much fun? Nothing beats waking in the morning and making a nice, quiet cup of coffee, listening to the birds and the woods waking up. All without even getting up from my hammock. What a way to start the day!Stove is 2.67 inches in diameter X .98 inches deep. Fuel capacity - 1.5 ounces. Alcohol ONLYFuel is CHEAP! And available almost everywhere.Ceramic wicking is super absorbent and fireproof up to 2400* F. That's about 3 times the heat generated by alcohol stoves.Ceramic wicking does not shrink with age like carbon felt. Stays tight inside of the container.Fuel Capacity is 1.5 oz of alcohol. Due to the ceramic wicking used inside this burner, it will not leak or spill. Add fuel and immediately turn burner upside down. Nothing leaks out. Not a single drop. All fuel is absorbed by the ceramic wicking material. Screw top on burner to prevent evaporation and fuel can be stored for days or safely carried in your pack, or in my case, on my motorcycle. Just unscrew the top, place burner in your stove or pot stand of choice and light. Easiest alcohol stove I've found yet.Very easy to extinguish stove. Just blow it out like a candle. This is the only alcohol stove design that this works on. Most stoves you must either smother the flames with a pot or allow them to burn completely out. Trangia style stoves being a notable exception. Just blow out the stove when done. Burner will be cool in a minute or two. Screw on the lid to save the remaining fuel for next time.Designed to work with a Caldera Cone system, I've found that it works just as well in my Firebox Nano stove or my Zen pot stand.Loaded with 1.5 oz of fuel, I was able to boil 12 oz of water for coffee 3 different times on a single charge of fuel. This time, I was on the back deck in the wind, using a windscreen. That's pretty impressive. Each stove is tested by burning .5 oz of fuel (Heet, yellow bottle) for quality and safety before being shipped.
