Not to be confused with the newer, mass produced Wenger GST line that pales in comparison to this true 27 jeweled, hi end movement (found in many old school Tag Heuer watches) real chronograph watch. Engineered out of a solid block of titanium and designed to withstand some of the most severe climatic conditions found on mother earth. Occasionally, you might see an old school Wenger GST Classic, Sea or Field, quartz or auto, chrono watch come on the market but when was the last time you ever saw the AIR version? I would guess, never. They are that rare. This is a true pilot watch so the chrono function is slightly different that the standard chrono version which is where the extra chrono pusher comes in. This watch does not come with instructions so please be sure you take the time to fully understand the watches complexities. This classic timepiece is in overall very good to excellent shape for it's age cosmetically speaking as it has seen very limited actual wrist/flight time. Sapphire crystal w/anti glare coating appears to be mark free. Ratchet compass bezel looks practically like new with no observed marks or any missing black paint. Some tiny micro marks may be seen to the sides of case. Caseback does have a few minor scuff marks which will never be seen when worn. Titanium is such an amazing metal. So light yet so, so strong. Come's mounted on a brand new genuine Wenger OEM Sharkskin leather strap. QUALITY CONTROL REPORT. While the watch does keep main time perfectly there seems to be an issue with the 1/10th sec sub dial hand and the large 60 min countdown hand. They appear to be frozen/stuck in place so are unable to recalibrate to zero positions. The 30 min sub dial hand and large 60 second function as intended. This issue of the frozen hands may clear up on it's own just from exercising the functions. I've seen it happen before on other chrono watches. If not, just live with it as it is. You have to admit, this thing looks insane and nobody but you will ever know about these issues. Price has been reduced accordingly. I will not take a return for this as I have disclosed all problems upfront. Ready for flight, playtime, extreme adventure, military personal or add to your collection to proudly display. Watch has always been professionally maintained and cleaned so it arrives without any accumulated dirt & grime from prior limited usages. Recently fitted with a fresh Energizer battery and running strong. ALL chrono functions operate as intended and calibrate to zero positions when reset other than what was already disclosed above. Some specifics: Watch measures just over 1 1/2" or 39mm across case excluding crown, chrono pushers and lugs. Width between the lugs is 20mm. Strap length is apx 9 1/2" or 245mm from tip to tip so please bear this in mind prior to placing a bid/offer. Included is the super cool, ultra rare watch only. NO boxes, extra straps or paperwork.
