Description: 4X5.75 Vintage portrait photograph signed in the lower margin in blue felt tip ink by Ulrich de Maizière. In very good condition. (1912-2006) Karl Ernst Ulrich de Maizière was a German general. He served in the army of three German states: the Reichswehr of the Weimar Republic, the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany, and the German Army of West Germany, with a total of 32 years in uniform, the last five as Inspector General of the Bundeswehr. He retired in 1972 at the age of sixty and lived in retirement until his death in August 2006.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
