Its reverse side features the countrys map, sun, talapia fish, the National Independence monument in Kampala, and a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress. The note is 135 x 66 mm in size and is equipped with a Red-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized BOU II to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would show a watermark image of a Crested crane and electrotype 2000.
