These grips are milled to fit various versions of the 1858 Remington issued by Uberti over the years. However, to ensure that you get the correct grips, please attach a note to your order (or send us an email) stating which type of frame shape you have (Circular or Elliptical). Please see the explanatory photo in this listing showing what to look for. We will need to know this information prior to shipping your grip.Also, if your revolver was made prior to 2015 (or you are unsure), please send us the two-letter code usually found on the side of the barrel near the cylinder, inside the rectangular box. This will start with an “A”, “B”, or “C”. Please note that “PN” is NOT a date code. Please see the picture in this listing for reference. [Please note that if your revolver was made prior to 1975, your revolver will have a Roman Numeral (for example, “XIII”, or “XV”), stamped somewhere on the revolver instead of the letters, which we will need to know].In addition, because of varying grip pin placement in a select few of some of the Uberti 1858 revolvers, to ensure optimum fit we have made the grip pin holes slightly oversized when necessary. For optimum fit, a small amount of epoxy or J.B. Weld (not included) will be required to partially fill the oversized grip pin holes in the back of the grip to bed the grips for the optimum fit when first putting on the grips. Full, easy to follow instructions included with the grips. What these WILL NOT FIT: Please note that these grips are made only for Uberti revolvers. These WILL NOT FIT revolvers made by Pietta, Armi San Marco, original Civil War era Remington revolvers, or 1858 revolvers from any other maker.
