Description: United States First Day Covers - Scott #730a and 731a, each a block of 4 on 2 covers with a scarcer cachet. This is the Century of Progress issue issued for the American Philatelic Society as a souvenir sheet. The blocks were cut out of the souvenir sheets with a side margin with part of the printing that is on the souvenir sheet margins. Both covers postmarked August 25, 1933 at Chicago, A.P.S. Convention Station, which is the first day of issue. Both covers addressed to the same person, back flap is sealed and there is a filler page. Additonal address on back side flap. The 731a block has additional cancel smudges to cancel the individual stamps in the block. Not the usual format for the issue, and a scarcer item for the specialist collector. Overall fine / very fine condition, covers some handling on edges, corners. SHIPPING $1.50 by First Class Mail to addresses in the United States.
