From the CSGA Counted Thread Society of America - A Journal for Embroiderers - the quarterly Newsletter that ran for years in the 1970's onward through the 80's, 90's? and became an international sought after publication. Mission to encourage and enhance the experience of Counted Thread stitchers. Started on rather humbly and the issues gradually took on a more professional appearance, so check out all years. Getting harder to collect and find. A wealth of knowledge and experience translated into these newsletters. Many kinds of needlework stitches, tools of the trade, and publications are discussed. Pattern examples/graphs from all sorts of different types of needlework from various areas of the world represented in these pages. I will label each issue by its month/year, but each had a main theme and often multiple themes are represented in each issue. All issues are a treasure. Selling off my duplicates for others to enjoy. Clean and very usable. Contents - 24 to 36 pages depending on issue. Some have special inserts ie 8 pages of Historical articles, Sampler review, etc. Loads of cute patterns for small and quick to large and ambitious projects. If you love to read about needlework there are instructional articles on Needlework, Book and Chart reviews, International museum reviews, International chart locations, heritage needlework, tips and suggestions for better stitching, donated one of a kind designs from members, fabric reviews, stories covering the background of a piece/chart, interviews with needlework designers, historical coverage of an international location behind a heritage technique or event, etc. A humble, but mighty publication. I warn you, once you collect a few, you will want them all - if only for reference and beautiful graphs, if nothing else. Enjoy!!
