Description: TV-7/U tube tester chassis. Tester Chassis only. No case, test leads, manuals, tube test settings book or accessories are included. Missing data plate. Tested and nominally working. In need of servicing and calibration. The gentleman that this came from was using this as his primary tester with it in the wooden box you can see in the pictures on his workbench. The chassis is not screwed into the box. Cases and other parts frequently come up on eBay. Or, if you are in need of parts or want to build a tester into your bench or equipment rack, this may be what you need. Certainly in need of cleaning of sockets and switches and a calibration. I tested a 6L6, an 80 and a 12AX7 and it seemed to be functioning reasonably (though the 80 readings were low). The ID tag is missing and there is a DYMO label over the mounting holes for the tag (I have seen repro tags on eBay). The meter is marked TV-7/U I have to say I do like the bias and shunt dials on this better than the later TV-7s. These are easier to read. Very much as-is.
