Description: Two (2) early original vintage photographs of the famous Basilica of Saint-Cyprien located in Carthage, Tunisia. Rediscovered in 1915, it was oriented toward a spectacular ocean view which can still be enjoyed. This historic Christian temple was surrounded by a vast cemetery. Photographs measure approximately 7 x 9 inches and are in excellent condition with a slight bend in sky area of first photo (see scan). There are no tears or creases and the images are very sharp and have strong tones with good contrast and clarity. Backs have photographers stamps and caption information.
