Description: Introduction In this new ensemble book, we offer a variety of dulcimer arrangements for the Christmas season. We've included both some very familiar tunes that have stood the test of time, along with some lesser known melodies that are sure to become new favorites. We've tried to provide a balance between secular and church tunes as well as a balance between arrangements that are easy to play and those that are more challenging As with our previous volumes, we've organized the book with the easier arrangements in front and with the progressively harder arrangements and the multi-part arrangements towards the back of the book. With both the duets and the multi-part ensembles, we`ve tried to vary the difficulty of the parts, so that the more experienced player(s) in the duo or ensemble can play the more difficult parts while those with less experience can play the easier parts. And for players who don't have a playing partner, we've tried to make the melody part interesting enough that it can be played by itself. We hope that you will enjoy playing these new Christmas arrangements! We thank all our dulcimer friends who have purchased our other ensemble books and who have kindly approached us at clubs and festivals to tell us about their enjoyment of these books and the many places where they have played the arrangements. We are both members of dulcimer clubs and would love to hear if dulcimer clubs are playing from this book as well.
