Bi-wire speaker cables are recommended with loudspeakers that each have two pairs of input terminals. Using four connections to separate the high frequencies and the low frequencies achieves a sonic advantage resulting in greater high frequen- cy detail and an improved sound stage. SP4BW is constructed using four multi-stranded conductors; two 12 AWG conductors and two 14 AWG conductors made with 50% silver-plated OFHC copper spiraled with 50% OFHC copper. For maximum protection, longevity and ease of installation, the high-grade tough outer jacket is constructed of blue PVC, wrapped in a black nylon mesh with gold stripes. SP4BW is the cable used in the manufacturing of SCB-W Silver Series Terminated Bi-Wire Speaker Cables. The two 12 AWG conductors are designed for connection to the low frequency loudspeaker driver terminals while the two 14 AWG conductors are designed for connection to the high frequency terminals. At the amplifier end of the cable, two 10 AWG conductors are achieved by combining one each of the 12 AWG conductors with one each of the 14 AWG conductors.
