Trek Y-33, Medium, refinished with lots of NOS XT parts Rockshox NukeProof

Description: Up for sale is a unqiue refinished 1996 Trek Y-33. The frame - original OCLV Trek carbon fiber frame body in "medium" size, repainted last year by a professional frame painter/carbon repair specialist. The logos are painted under the clearcoat, NOT stickers. In addition to the paintjob, one of the mounting holes on the drive side of the frame was cosmetically filled. This hole was originally for the rear shock lockout cable lever, which I eliminated entirely. Although not shown in the pictures, both original water bottle bolts are included as well. The swingarm - original aluminum swingarm, sanded and polished to remove all the major scrapes and scratches. The front suspension - new old stock mint condition never ridden RockShox Judy DH, repainted the same gold as the frame lettering. Logos are painted and under the clearcoat, NOT stickers. Original mint condition boots, seals, internals and hardware. 80mm of travel. The rear suspension - These bikes were originally fitted with a long-defunct company's air spring unit. As even a rebuild kit for these units hasn't been made in close to 20 years, and the original suspension was still functional but clearly leaking oil, I replaced it with a modern brand new never ridden RockShox Monarch RL 165x38mm (1.5" of travel, same as the original unit in 1996). You'll receive the service/lube kit that came with this new RockShox unit, too. The drivetrain - Shimano Deore XT M739 8-speed shifters/brake levers, new old stock, mint condition with factory tags still on the lever. New old stock mint condition Deore XT M739 V-brakes front and back. Shimano SM-M950 carbon brake booster on rear (refinished and removed the ugly logo in the center). Deore XT M739 front and rear derailleurs, both new old stock in unused condition. Deore XT M737 175mm crankset, near-mint unused condition (ULTRA RARE!!! just a few TINY "storage wear" nicks in the left crank). Tioga SureFoot 6 pedals in new old stock mint condition. Modern Shimano CS-HG50 11-32 8-speed cassette, Shimano BB-UN300 bottom bracket and Shimano HG-71 chain, all brand new and never ridden. The wheelset - 26" new old stock Mavic rims, Panaracer Smoke and Dart tires (brand new), used 1996 Nukeproof carbon fiber hubs, used in excellent condition Deore XT quick-release skewers. Wheels were professionally built and trued by the local bike shop. Hubs roll smooth and quietly, bearings are still fine. The cockpit - aforementioned XT shifters/brake levers, vintage 560mm "Profile" carbon handlebar repainted with period-correct Trek OCLV logo. Used 1996 Nukeproof aluminum stem. Brand new Nukeproof HZN-Ti headset, 1996 Trek grips (8/10 condition), refinished (polished and clearcoated) Trek OCLV carbon bar ends, also included is a new old stock 1996 black Trek computer w/ battery and manual. The ride - Used Bontrager carbon seat post and Bontrager RaceLite Lux saddle. Bontrager seat clamp. The bike will be shipped via UPS Ground with the brakes and derailleurs disconnected from the shifters/levers to prevent any damage in transit while under tension.
