Many full colour plates included in the book, although each plate is given a detailed backstory and context by Pontus Grate the editor with contributions from renown experts where appropriate. Its a wonderfully useful refernce book as well as being visualy stimulating. The book is of course preowned and has been well read and has in course lost its original dust jacket, the binding is a little loose but totally intack with no missing pages. there is some marks on the outer cover and a the exposed edges are a little grubby. the inside is pretty clean throughout and certainly very presentable.
