Description: The book is in good condition - especially for its age. There’s a little tattering at the top of the DJ. It’s got a Brodart cover on it which is why there’s a reflection. There’s no writing or marking of any kind. Binding is in good shape. There’s staining on each board (front and back) at the binding. I thought this was a leather bookmark that stained but that’s doubtful as there isn’t any staining anywhere else. If anyone knows what that is, I’d appreciate it if you let me know. I took lots of pics but there is one thing pics don't help with and that's the smell or lack thereof. It does have a slight old book smell. Not disagreeable and not noticeable at reading distance. isbn 0913022144 NOTE: There is a very useful website called tragedyandhope run by Richard Grove. On that site, he claims they’ve thoroughly studied the various editions and concluded the 1966 MacMillan and the 2004 GSG editions are reliable. It is claimed some editions are “missing pages 62-63”. Grove refers to a 1975 edition with the same isbn as the 1974 edition (the book I’ve got listed) so I’m assuming he just got the year wrong. He specifically states this book is missing pages 62-63. I’ve pictured 62-63 of this book (1974 edition) as well as a picture of pages 62-63 of the gsg edition (see last pic of lists for both pages compared). They’re literal facsimiles of each other. I didn’t read each edition page by page for comparison but it’s not hard to see that that the first and last word on each page are identical as is total page count. For those wondering about the Dolphin Millennium Edition, it doesn’t appear to be missing the 62-63 info either. Dolphin reformatted the book for their edition and used larger paper so it’s 340 pages shorter. This puts the info at issue is on pages 47-48. It’s identical to 1974 and GSG. I also have a brand new Dolphin Millennium paperback edition paperback copy of this book. It’s also listed. I pack my books very securely. It’ll be wrapped in bubble wrap in a box.
