Tortelier & Engel: Beethoven Cello Sonatas Nos. 1 & 2

Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION:This handsome LP from La Voix de son Maitre (FALP 151, French pressing, red/silver semi-circle label, mono - no stereo edition exists) features Paul Tortelier and Karl Engel's joyful accounts of Beethoven's Cello Sonatas No. 1 in F Major Op. 5 No. 1 and No. 2 in G minor Op. 5 No. 2. CONDITION – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. The condition of the jacket is GOOD. It is obviously worn from the photo with quite a bit of shelf wear and scratch-like lines to the jacket. On the plus side, there are no seam splits or owners' markings and the jacket remains solid and attractive. The condition of the LP is VG-. There is a scratch on Side 1 that causes a repetitive tic for perhaps 20 revolutions, though it is not loud. Otherwise, there is light surface noise, but nothing terrible. Overall, still a decent copy. PLEASE NOTE: All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
