Plagued by revolutionaries that harass his plantation in a banana republic, a fruit company executive (Pat O'Brien) rehires a former nemesis (James Cagney) to restore order and profits. This poster is from the first re-release of the film in Belgium in the early 1950's. Though unsigned, it appears to feature wonderful artwork by renowned Belgian movie poster artist Wik that is unique to this Belgian release poster. DESCRIPTION: Torrid Zone (1940), Warner Bros., Directed by William KeighleyCOUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium 14.25" x 21.25" CONDITION: Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border has a small tear and a missing paper chip as well as the remnants of a former theater snipe and a couple of tape stains. A few additional tears, pinholes and two areas of paper loss in the surrounding white borders. Some paper crinkling around the edges of the poster. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 16 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
