Zildjian USA Serial # JF 12156 043 The cymbal has been beautifully and boldly signed by Tommy Leein black sharpie! His signature is huge and measures approx 19cm across! Tommy's inscription from top to bottom is approx 30cm! This unique item was recently acquired from the personal collection of noted Australian Concert & Operations Stage Manager, Chris Rogers, and his original COA, on Palais Theatre Australia letterhead, accompanies the item. Chris's COA reads: "My name is Chris Rogers. I was engaged as the Stage Manager and Bass Tech for Johnny Colt on the 2007 Australian & New Zealand legs of the “Rockstar Supernova” tour featuring Motley Crue Drummer Tommy Lee. After the final show of the tour, Tommy and his Drum Tech Steve “El Steevo” Morrison gifted me this USA Zildjian 21” Sound Lab Prototype Crash Cymbal. The inscription reads as follows: “Chris, Love the Vaginamite (Love heart) Tommy Lee” Vaginamite was in reference to the T-shirt I had given Tommy at the start of the tour which had the following slogan (and play on the famous Australian food spread Vegemite): “Vaginamite: Pure Pussy Extract!” Tommy loved that T-shirt and wore it nearly every day of the tour! I hereby certify that this USA Zildjian 21” Sound Lab Prototype Crash Cymbal was manufactured to Tommy Lee’s personal specifications and was gifted to me & signed by Tommy Lee in March 2007 and is 100% Genuine. Signed, Chris Rogers" The COA includes an image of Tommy wearing the “Vaginamite: Pure Pussy Extract!” t-shirt! This prototype cymbal was used on all dates of the 2007 ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA Australian & New Zealand Tour. The band originally featured Tommy Lee (MÖTLEY CRÜE), Jason Newsted (ex-METALLICA), Gilby Clarke (ex-GUNS N' ROSES) and vocalist Lukas Rossi. Newsted was replaced during the Aus & NZ Tour by bassist Johnny Colt of BLACK CROWES/TRAIN after an accident that resulted in a torn anterior labrum in his left shoulder and a rotator cuff and bicep tear in the right! The cymbal has been heavily used by Tommy! It has stick marks, sweat, bends in some areas and dirty finger marks appear on the underside of the cymbal: everything that you would expect from a tour used cymbal! Please refer to all images. The cymbal has an additional two signatures who Chris believed to be band members (Lukas Rossi?) but I will leave it to the buyer to determine who they are. These signatures can also be easily removed from the cymbal, if the buyer so wishes.
