Tomato Seeds Heirloom Varieties - USDA Organic (from Sandia Seed Co.)

Description: This listing is for some heirloom tomato seeds from Sandia Seed Company. They are USDA certified as organic and each packet has 10 seeds. Personally, I think selling 10 tomato seeds for 4 dollars is absolutely ridiculous. I got these seeds from Sandia at a discount, so I can lower the price a bit at least. These are really excellent tomato varieties, though! I have always thought that tomatoes were relatively very easy to grow. Ours seemed to enjoy being watered almost every day in the summer, but your mileage may vary. Your best bet may be to start these seeds indoors ~8 weeks before your last frost. If you happen to start them too early, they could get stunted in my experience, but it all depends on your situation. If you use reusable seed trays, be sure you sterilize them properly before reusing them. The pathogens that attack seedlings are absolutely brutal and will easily wipe out your seedlings if you let them. I've lost some really good plants like that sadly. Cherokee Purple is known as a very tasty tomato variety, and Black Krim is widely regarded as excellent. I have tasted Mortgage Lifter myself and I think it is very sweet and might be my favorite. I tasted Cherokee Purple, but I don't think I was a big fan (I probably just had a bad one). Although most people grow tomatoes as annuals, tomatoes are perennials and will overwinter if they never get hit by temperatures under freezing. If you have any questions, please ask!
