Machine uses a swinging pendulum to provide the force for either Izod, Charpy or tension impact tests. The digital controller uses an encoder to determine the post-impact height of the pendulum and then calculates the breaking energy absorbed. The machine also has an optional brake to help slow the pendulum after the test. The unit was tested and the release mechanism, brake and controller all performed as they should. The machine is in near-new condition.
