Over the years Jaguar/Ford has realized that the original tensioners were a poor design and after multiple updates they have finally found a design that can accept the stress and strain of the engine. This kit is the latest 4th generation product that is designed to replace the poor quality original plastic units. The kits includes 1 left and 1 right upper tensioner as well as the 4 mounting bolts that are required. These are the highest quality tensioners on the market. They are not made in China like many others on Ebay. We also offer this kit with standard roller type timing chain as well as an QuickFit type timing chain that includes master links. This allows you to replace the upper tensioners without removing the primary lower chains. These fit: Ford Thunderbird 3.9L 2002 through 2005
